FAQ
Got questions? We've got answers — mostly serious, occasionally sassy. If you don't see what you're looking for here, just email us at hello@ginandstitches.com.
What's actually in a kit?+
Every Gin & Stitches kit ships with everything you need to start stitching: canvas or cloth, all the thread or yarn called for in the pattern (plus a little extra just in case), a needle, and the pattern itself. No filler, no fuss — just open the box and start. (Cocktails, sadly, not included.)
Do I need experience to stitch one of these?+
Most of our kits are beginner-friendly — if you can thread a needle, you can finish one. Patterns are either traditional counted cross-stitch or basic needlepoint with half-tent or basketweave stitch (whichever you prefer). As I'm just ramping up, I don't have a full set of instructional videos – but there are many great resources online if you find yourself stymied.
Are these finished pillows, or do I stitch them myself?+
These are kits, not finished pieces — you're getting the materials and pattern to stitch it yourself. Think of it as a very opinionated paint-by-numbers, but with thread.
What does "Coming Soon" mean on a product?+
That design is in development or being restocked — you can see it, but it's not available to order yet. Follow along on @irreverentembroidery on Facebook or Instagram or sign up for our mailing list to know when it drops.
Do you ship internationally?+
Not yet. Right now I'm focused on getting the kinks worked out domestically. Once we start cooking with gas, as they say, we'll expand to international markets.
How long until my order ships?+
Orders ship within 3–5 business days. We'll send an email to let you know when it ships and an estimated arrival date so you can prepare for the auspicious arrival of your kits!
Can I return a kit?+
Let's think positively – why would you ever return a kit? They're fabulous! But just in case, we do have a return policy. Short version: you can return unopened, unused kits within 30 days of delivery.
Do you offer wholesale or custom kits?+
This isn't something I'm prioritizing as I launch, but I'm open to the conversation. Please reach out at hello@ginandstitches.com so we can set up a time to chat about it.
